Fall leaves and panoramic views of the Connecticut River Valley are two draws of Vermont 50, an annual race through the wooded trails of Mount Ascutney State Park. Race the 50-mile course solo or check out the women’s relay event. Proceeds from the weekend’s festivities, which also include two running races, benefit Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports, which offers year-round adaptive sport programs to youth and adults. The race sells out quickly, and registration opens on May 27.
