What you need to know

As the light draws in and the evenings get shorter, youll want to get out on the bike when you can. The Wiggle Royal Flyer is the perfect autumn sportive taking in the Royal Sandringham Estate in Norfolk and the tree-lined avenues around it, allowing you to charge through the autumnal leaves on the ground before crossing the finish line for a well-earned end-of-season break.

Setting off from the event centre on Fakenham Racecourse, this sportive starts off with a few gentle climbs as riders will head east and roll through the pretty villages of Guist and Hindrigham, and onto the equally-appealing St Marys Benedictine Priory and Binham.

Staying inland, youll continue westwards on this typically flat section of east England heading through South Creake, Stanhoe and Docking. A feed station gives riders chance to catch their breath before the route enters the grounds of the Sandringham Estate, which always looks grand in autumnal colours.

Only a short ride then separates you from the royal grounds and a finishers medal back in Fakenham, passing the Royal Stud and continuing on back lanes through Anmer, East Rudham and Helhoughton. The short climbs on the Wiggle Royal Flyer may test untrained legs but this should be a welcome challenge for more seasoned riders to get a fast sportive time in the bag before turning to the turbo for winter.

Also known as "The Hell of The North", it is the biggest 1 day race in professional cycling and you can test yourself over the same course 24 hours before the Pros. One of the easiest races to get to for UK riders, it is also one of the hardest to ride. The cobbles have to be experienced since words will never do them justice. We can ensure you are as prepared as possible. Basing you in Roubaix is ideal for soaking up race weekend atmosphere and seeing the Race.

Ride with former Welsh Rugby Union star Shane Williams MBE at this last club, Amman Utd RFC. It just so happens to be an ideal starting location to explore the surrounding countryside of Carmarthenshire by bike. And what a countryside it is; the roads, hills and vistas are among some of the best cycling routes in the UK.

You will go over the impressive Black Mountain, through the Brecon Beacons National park, ride through the centre of the historic Welsh market towns of Llandovery and Brecon as well as the numerous picturesque valley villages and hamlets and mountain passes along the way. All with a mixture of decent climbs, technical downhills and nice long flat stretches. The two course are challenging but also achievable for all and with the timing of the event being mid October its ideal for one last ride of the season, or a social gathering after a hard season of competing or even a personal challenge to build up to throughout the year. There's something for everyone.

The Chiltern Hills double up their uses in the Wiggle Chiltern Classic sportive: not only do the winding roads make for some inspired climbing action on the bike, the hills are also a sight to behold whether viewed from the bottom, the top or halfway up on a demanding test of stamina.

Straight out of the starting blocks, this ride will have you going through the gears as we ease you in on a gradual gradient, moving out of the Adams Park departure point in High Wycombe, before making you familiar with the kind of swooping descent that drops as much as youll have to make up soon after, a common trait for this swooping course.

Once youve crossed under the M40, the gradient settles and youre free to get into your own rhythm, pace and time, not dictated by hill climbs, making this a great mid-season test for riders keen on testing their hand against the clock on a kinder course.

Once youre past the outskirts of Thame, youll find yourself among peerless views across the Aylesbury Vale district in an area lined with quaint and quiet villages as you traverse the sheltered country lanes that link them. On leaving the loop exclusive to Epic course riders just east of Oxford youll enter the Chiltern Hills area once more on the way back to base.

A handful of manageable climbs wait before you can claim your finishers medal, t-shirt and PowerBar recovery product, and hopefully youll have enough left in the tank to enjoy these on completion of a rewarding day out on the bike!

As the name of this sportive suggests, its all about hills on this ride-out as youll take in the best of them atop the chalky cliffs of the historic Jurassic Coast in Dorset. If youve got what it takes to beat the Wiggle Purbeck Hill-a-Saurus, line up for a mix of challenging climbs, fast-flowing technical single track and swooping descents.

The UKCE Fell Beast Sportive has been tailored to be the most spectacular course we have ever designed.

With almost 7,000ft of Cumbrian climbing to tackle over the Epic route, the Beast will test you on some tough climbs yet reward you with a series of scintillating descents mixed with gentle drops that allow you to take in some of the most impressive views in the country.

Heading out from Carlisle Racecourse, the route heads south immediately and to our first climb of the day to the top of Warnell Fell. Shortly after the climb you are rewarded with the first panoramic views of the day, looking out over the Lake District National Park. Here, the Short route continues south to Caldbeck, while Standard and Epic riders bear west to Aspatria before bearing south again towards the National Park.

After crossing the River Derwent, we reach Bassenthwaite Lake at which the course splits for the final time as Standard riders move east and Epic riders continue south for a big reward.

The first of which is Lorton Vale, with grand fells and crags to your left and views over Crummock Water to your right. After passing Buttermere Lake, we reach our goal for the ride Honister Pass with crags looming either side of the road. A tough climb to the top ensues while the peaks of the slate mine area offer views out over the Borrowdale Fells.

We now descend in to Borrowdale and skirt the edge of Derwent Water before cutting through Keswick to rejoin the Standard loop at the top of Bassenthwaite Lake. From here we rejoin the Short route and hug the edge of the National Park before heading north to the finish line, where a finishers medal and t-shirt wait for you.
