Route information
Terrain: Trails, Road
Embrace the beautiful scenery of the Cotswolds on this undulating and challenging course.
You will plunge into the beautiful clear waters of Cromhall quarry on Tortworth Estate for an open water swim, before a short transition to the bike where you will tackle challenging, yet rewarding hills before finally running around the quarry on foot.
This race will ensure your heart will be pumping hard, tackle the hills to earn your well-deserved finisher's medal.

Age Requirements
All entrants must be 18 years or older to participate.
Kit List

  • Wetsuit (required depending on water temp)
Aid Stations
The locations of aid stations along the route are as follows:
  • Bike: 45k,
  • Run: Every 2k
Age Requirements
Participants must be aged 18 or over to compete in both events.
Transition
Leave a pair of trainers for swim exit at the Run up to T1.
The Bike Dismount is located at the entrance gate of the quarry, bikes must be pushed up to this area.
The run exit is out of Transition around the quarry then out of the swim exit onto country lane to the turnaround point and back then in and around the lake.
Water Safety
There will 2 water safety teams on the water along with paddleboards and SARA on the jetty, if you are in trouble, please roll onto your back and wave your hands for help or swim to the edge

Spectator Info
Spectators are permitted and very welcome.
Please note though, that only athletes are permitted in the transition area.

When does the Wild Boar Middle Distance & Olympic start?
Both races start at 8:00am so make sure to arrive early enough to set up your transition and to register (opens on the day at 6:30am). If you would prefer, you can also register the day before between 12:30 and 6:30pm and stay over the night in Chepstow
