I thoroughly enjoyed the day, great atmosphere and a tough but enjoyable course. My only issue was that I didn't receive my race number until two days before the event.

This was my second year of running YHM. I do enjoy it, as a race it is brilliant, the addition of some hills makes it slightly more challenging.
Just a shame they opted for use of plastic cups for the water points, novery eco friendly now is it! (I’m still finding cups on the floor today - a day later!)

    Organiser replied:
Hi James, thanks for your lovely review :) I just wanted to put your mind at ease and let you know that the cups at the drink stations were all biodegradable and we are always looking at ways to improve our environmental impact. Hope to see you at another one of our races soon

This is 3rd time running this event. It has got better year on year too. Communication before the event was spot on and on the day everything seemed very slick. Considering a 4 mile section of the course is through country lanes the support is still good. At the start of the race you run a short lap around the town with good crowd support. The same level of support is through the country park. The last section as you run through the town is really busy with spectators lining the streets for about 800m which is really appreciated. The course is testing at times but also very picturesque in places, especially in Montacute as you run through the national Trust House. Well done to all who volunteered, supported and organised this race. Already looking forward to 2020

This was my first race since donning my trainers again. I had trained really well and was hopeful of beating my 5yo half marathon pb This race seems to grow year on year now. I received my race number in the post so didn't need to go to the race hq on the day. I did use the bag drop which was quite busy. As everyone lined up at the start there was a brief but I would be surprised if those at the back could hear much of it.The first part of the course is around the town so plenty of support early on  We then head out of the town and into the country park. This meant some really good running surfaces for a few miles. There was good support through the park and also the first drinks station. The next section was along a cycle path before cutting through an industrial estate and picking up the path again. Another drinks station was soon upon us and also a band playing music. The locals were out supporting on a short stretch before heading out on a country road to Montacute. We then passed through the grounds of the stunning Montacute House and more drinks. The next stretch was on remote lanes and a nice little hill at 10 miles. We came back in to town for the last 3 miles before finishing in the middle of the shopping centre where a large enthusiastic crowd were waiting. On completion there was fruit, drinks, a very decent medal, t-shirt and goody bag.I was pleased to set a new half marathon pb at this event, a pb which I have broken again since. I will run this event every time I can as its in my home town.

Due to bad weather in March i was very unlucky with cancellation but i was very grateful to the Yeovil Half Marathon organisation for fitting me in at the last minute.  I was  welcomed with a hot coffee when getting my number .we had a good briefing and they got us going. You started right in the centre of Yeovil  then headed of out  of town till you ran the full length of the country park .we had surport most of the way with all the locals cheering us on..The marshalling was fantastic .They stop all traffic and made sure we all safe. When i was hoping to get a time the pacers did a get job keeping me on time. Around miles 7 and 8 you run though the National Trust  Montacute house grounds beautiful after this it gets a lttle hilly, but not to bad. You head back to the town where the finish line is in a different place but you run in to the main shopping centre  where lots of people waiting and cheering. When you get to the end you get your medal and T shirt. Your time get texts to you very soon after. I have to say i really enjoyed the run but maybe not the hills. I have signed up for next year.

Each year this event from the team at Immortal Sport, just gets better. The course isnt flat but its not hard. I can run this faster than flatter courses ! I felt that the safety of this race was 100%, plenty of marshalls and clear direction arrows prevent you from missing a turn. The crowds really make this a party atmosphere. Good work team

Great half marathon; 1 lap route.Starts and finishes in the town centre, with a great downhil stretch for a sprint finish. Hilly in parts, nothing too stresful but significant slope - most people at my pace walked the big hill at about 9 miles in.Lovely countryside, through a National Trust property and little lanes.Good support in the town, a bit sparse out on the course.Well signed/marshalled with cheery enthusiatstic marshalls.Nice tech t-shirt and chunky medal - good value for money and would sign up again (I don't often say that!!).

Beautiful course!!!!Fantastic marshalls, the course was very well signposted and was interesting as it had hills, flats, countryside, main roads, and tracks. Very well organised from first registration until completion. Race packs were sent out which makes it so much easier on the day. Parking was easy which was nice as some events are very difficult or expensive this was neither!! Tesco did a fantastic job with the goodie bags at the end of the race they are always appreciated!!the medals were amazing!! Best I have had so far and I run in events every weekend. The tshirts were awesome too, really good quality!! This is definitely one I would recommend I don't do many events more than once but this one will be on my list to do next year as I have already rebooked!! If you are in any doubt, just do it you won't regret it!!

Once again Total Buzz Events managed to get a race on a sunny day. This race will get bigger each year. It was nice to see lots more spectators on the route this year. The finish area was the best i have found at any half marathon. Good work
