Come and join in! Our Colour Run is a family-friendly event with an emphasis on fun. Wed love you to be there.

The event is all about enjoyment, as well as raising funds for the school. It doesnt matter if you have never run a 5k before - you can enjoy walking the route, and theres the 2k option available too.

It is not a race. There is no chip timing, and it is not a measured route. It doesnt matter how fast or slowly you go around the course, as long as you bring your sense of humour with you!

Gosfield Lake Triathlon

Gosfield Lake Sprint and Standard Triathlons: these are our flagship events at the stunning Gosfield Lake resort and we run two distances to cater for all abilities. The sprint event is a 750M swim, 20Km bike ride of one lap around the lanes followed by an off road (but not cross country) run. The standard distance follows the same route but is 1500M swim, 40Km bike and a 10K run. This race is popular every year and sells out well in advance of its usual closing date.

Peterborough Midsummer 10K

A hard-standing surfaced course through the beautiful Ferry Meadows. The course is relatively flat in the main, with a few ups and downs and you will take in the varied and beautiful landscapes of meadows, lakes and woodland in one of the largest country parks in the region. Situated at the heart of Nene Park, its all less than three miles from Peterborough city centre.

GoFeral 10K Trail Run, Endurance, Fun Run - September

Take a run through the stunning Estate at Abbots Ripton near Huntingdon.

10k of varied terrain and surroundings - mixed terrain of forest, farm track and fields awaits. A fairly level course should make it pretty fast for you P.B. seekers; although we may not be able to resist sending you up and over our few rare fenland hills! Each participant receives a GoFeral medal.

Fun Run also available on the day at 11am, 5 for children aged 5+, to be accompanied by a non-fee paying adult up to 11 years old.

Ware’s Essex

Wares Cambridge has been one of the most talked about Sportives of recent years, weve decided to apply some of that magic to Essex. Wares Essex? will take place on Sunday the 6th of October.

Weve designed this route so that youll be able to take advantage of some of the great roads that the 2013 TDF took in and experience some beautifully tarmaced surfaces. Whatever the weather throws at us, this route is made for the beginning of Autumn, keeping your motivation high for the coming months.

Great Notley Autumn Duathlon

The Great Notley Autumn Duathlon is based at Great Notley Country Park in Braintree, with the attraction of a beautiful parkland venue but very accessible with good road links from the A120 and A131.

The race starts and finishes with a 4km run within the confines of the country park. You will run on a mixture of grass and surfaced paths, with a challenging hill included in the run. The transition to the cycle section is on a grass area adjacent to the access road. The cycle course is all on road, consisting of two 10km laps offering a fast but enjoyable ride through Rayne, Willows Green and Great Leighs before returning to the centre for the final run. The manageable distances and traffic free run course makes it an ideal race for novices.

Chipped timing event along picturesque flat country roads, footpaths and bridleways of Willingham, Cambridgeshire. There is a 10km race for hard core runners, 4 mile option for keen runners and mini races and sprints for the youngsters. The race is followed by a Family Fun day for all the family.

All proceeds from the day go to the Willingham School Association (a registered charity) and local youth groups. Chip Timing this year is by ChipTimingUK.

Pathfinder March

An annual 46-mile long-distance challenge walk around the four main Airbases. It takes place as close to the 21st of June as possible to get the maximum amount of daylight. Walkers set off at 4a.m. with 20 hours to complete the Walk. It is a gruelling test of strength, stamina and map reading skills. The masochists amongst you try to run it, they set off at 8a.m. The participants have a walkers card which is marked off at eight checkpoints around the walk, and your progress is recorded.

We have named the race The Marcus Gynn Newmarket 10k in memory of our club mate Marcus Gynn who sadly passed away on 11th February 2016. This year we will be making a donation and raising funds for Sarcoma UK cancer charity.

Steeple Bumpstead 10K and 3K Runs

On 23rd June the Steeple Chasers will host the 5th annual Steeple Bumpstead 10km and 3km races. Both events will be chip-timed. This event is run entirely for charity and we have distrbuted more than 10,000 over the last 4 years, mostly to local charities. We look forward to having another great year for charitable causes.

Greater Cambridge 10K

Welcome to the Greater Cambridge 10K Run!

Now in its third year and from the fantastic University of Cambridge Sports Centre base this is a flat, fast and traffic free course following wide cycle paths and scenic footpaths, providing great potential for a 10k personal best. The event is run under UKA rules, is officially measured and will be chip-timed. We are delighted to announce our new partnership with Head to Toe for this event. Head to Toe is the charity for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT). After the donation to Head to Toe, proceeds from the race go directly back to Living Sport and the work we do improving health and wellbeing by improving opportunities to be active and to participate in sport and physical activity.

This fast flat route follows two laps, starting and finishing from the University of Cambridge Sports Centre. A mixture of wide cycle paths and footpaths, the course provides great PB potential and a perfect race if you are running your first 10k!

Insane Terrain Running are hosting the Fun Day at Washbrook Farm, Doddington in Cambridgeshire which offers a 3km Obstacle course for all people aged 6 years and over. Shelford Fun Run

The Shelford Fun Run will return on Sunday 16th September 2018. This year there will be chip timing!

The purpose of the event is to raise money for local causes and charities. The 5km course runs through the streets of Shelford and, with the roads closed for the duration of the event, it is a rare opportunity to really enjoy the sights and sounds of a beautiful English village. The course has been accurately measured and certified to be 5k.

The Stour Valley Path is a 100km (62 mile) long footpath in England, which starts in Newmarket (Suffolk) and ends in Cattawade, a village near Manningtree (Essex). The SVP100 covers almost the entire length of the well marked trail, and is one of the longest point to point races in East Anglia.

Stour Valley Path 100 & 50

The SVP100 is easily accessible from East Anglia, London, East Midlands and Stansted airport.

The 1st Saturday of every month, the run will start at 9.00 am and it takes 5 minutes to walk from the car park to the start. The run is a two lap course on Norton Common, an area of natural beauty. The course is footpaths, tracks and grassland and is described as undulating.

Hitchin Hard Half Marathon

This is a hilly, measured course on country roads. It follows an out and back route from Hitchin up to Preston via Offley Holes hill.

This beautiful but tough 10k starts in Hitchin Priory and follows the half marathon course up to Preston, with the hill into Preston the biggest challenge to overcome! This race was added to the Hard Half in 2015 for runners looking to enjoy a challenging 10k run.

This beautiful 5k starts in Hitchin Priory and follows the half marathon course for some of its distance. It's a more gentle route and gives you the chance to enjoy a good run through some of the most attractive parts of Hitchin and Gosmore.

Grantchester Charity Run

The Grantchester Charity teams with the Addrenbrooke's Charitable Trust (ACT) for their 10K run and the proceeds will be go for an improved and new Haematology Day Unit at Addenbrookes. Similarly, the Grantchester Charity teams up with East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) which supports families and cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.

2015 saw the introduction of new courses for both 10k and 3k runs. Both run through attractive farmland adjacent to Grantchester. Importantly, there are no awkward road crossings in fact there are no road crossings at all. The courses are predominantly flat and thus, fast timings are expected. To measure these fast times, it is announced that 2017 will feature chip timing for all participants.

Race the Train - Bury to Rawtenstall

In partnership with East Lancashire Railway's this race will start from Bury train station on the sound of the steam trains whistle. Runners will then set off North along trail paths running alongside the railway lines and Irwell River. The run is from point to point, starting at Bury and finishing at Rawtenstall Station.

The Bury Friday 5 is one of six races that make up the Friday 5 Series, with each one approximately 5 miles in length. Held on Friday evenings between May and July, across Suffolk and Essex, the races are always family friendly and are a great way to spend a summer's evening. Prizes are awarded to individuals and teams at each race, and also for the series as a whole (based on a points system).

Although this is part of the Friday 5 Series many local runners choose to run this race without taking part in the Series.

A simple event, with an evening start and easy night-time navigation. Some long sections need a self-sufficient attitude. Brunch at the finish. The gently undulating 301k route follows the Cam valley up into the Fens, then crosses the River Ouse several times. 301km cycling event starting from Churchend,Dunmow, Essex. Controls at Cambridge, Whittlesey, Newport Pagnell, Biggleswade and Reed, plus 7 information controls.

A simple event, with a Friday evening start and easy night-time navigation. Two 24 hour garage controls, a motorway services and some long sections need a self-sufficient attitude. Brunch provided at the finish.

The route follows the Cam valley to Cambridge, then up into the Fens, crossing the River Ouse several times on a gently undulating route, via some attractive villages and interesting towns and villages.

Colworth Marathon Challenge

The Marathon Challenge is a suite of three races which take place over three consecutive days. The races consist of a 5 mile run, an 8.1 mile trail race, and a half marathon; all of which adds up to a full marathon distance.
