This is a family, pool-based triathlon with a rural bike around surrounding villages and a traffic-free run. A great intro for novices or a chance for more experienced athletes to lay down a marker!
This particularly spectator-friendly triathlon has the swim section at Bicester and Ploughley Leisure Centre with ample spectator viewing and the run section completely enclosed in Bicester Community College sports ground. The 20km bike route leaves transition at the sports field for a 2 lap circuit of Bicester and surrounding villages including Bucknell and Middleton Stoney.
The Dixons Carphone Race to the Stones is a fully supported 100km challenge along the iconic Ridgeway. You can run it or walk it from the start line in Oxfordshire to the finish next to the 5,000-year-old stone circle at Avebury. Complete the 100km non-stop or break it into two days staying at our overnight basecamp.
Rough Runner at the Great Tew Estate has been a favourite event in the running calendar for 4 years, with the most picturesque backdrop, varied terrain and atmospheric runners village you can come by.
The venue makes for an awesome running route, and as always, we cater to every level of fitness, so well have a 5km route with around 10 obstacles, a 10km route with 15, and all 20 obstacles on our 15km route if youre up for the toughest challenge. We never do laps at Rough Runner, but everyone who joins us for the game show-inspired journey will cross the Travelator at the finish line. So you can consider that particular childhood dream fulfilled!
The venue is readily accessible from London, Oxford, Birmingham, and most of the Midlands!
The Thames Ring 250 is a 250mile trail race starting in Streatley-on-Thames and following the route on the map in an anti-clockwise direction. The route is mainly on canal and riverside paths and relatively flat.
Runners have 100 hours (4 days 4 hours) to complete the run, navigating using maps and being supported by checkpoints every 25 miles or so.
Its an extremely tough run testing runners endurance to the limit along with long hours with little sleep and long dark nights.
Now approaching its 8th year this family friendly triathlon has the swim section at the new simming pool at Brackley Leisure Centre with transition area immediately outside. Family pool based triathlon with enclosed junior events and an adult rural bike around surrounding villages with attractive offsite & fully enclosed traffic free bike and run.
Adults choose a one or two lap 14 or 28km bike course and a one or two lap 2.5 or 5km run course, both taking in the beauty of Brackley and surrounding villages and countryside.
Sprint distance Aquabike. Swim and bike only option for the sprint distance. Those opting for the aquabike complete the course as normal but head straight for the finish after the bike section.
Run the Claydons is a 7 mile multi terrain run, being organised to raise funds for the Friends of the Royal Latin School, starting and finishing in East Claydon.
The Chiltern Valley Winery and Brewery Sportive start at a majestic location hidden away on a tiny rural lane in the heart of the Chiltern Valley. Just north of Henley on the Thames, the routes take you through a number of stunning villages where the Vicar of Dibley and Midsummer Murders were filmed. This Sportive has two distances of 37 and 70 miles to accommodate all abilities!

Beale Park and the surrounding area really is a stunning location for an evening run - with parts of the course near the Thames and others through the woods. One not to miss.

Now in its third year, The Beale Beastie is a highly acclaimed season opener for novices and experienced traithletes alike.
The Beale Beastie is a sprint distance triathlon set in the stunning Beale Park, Berkshire. Brilliant as a season starter for both novices and experienced athletes.
The Wee Beastie is our junior event for 8-16 year olds, held on the same day (around 12.00pm) and is a rather unique open water swim for the junior athletes. The bike and the run are safe within the grounds of Beale Park.
Make the most of the day by taking your friends and family to discover the world of Beale Park. Home to a wild mix of animals and attractions, all competitors can enjoy a discount on entry into the wildlife park on the day of the event.
15 mile road race. A challenging rural course run under UKA rules. These are equal opportunities events HOWEVER the courses are NOT suitable for wheelchairs.
Gung-Ho! is an inclusive 5km running event, with a focus on fun and it's coming to Reading in 2019 on 6th July. Get ready to run, jump and climb over some of the biggest inflatable obstacles in the world and show how Gung-Ho! you really are!
