Race The TideHolbeton, Devon, GB

In the glorious private setting of the Flete Estate, Holbeton, Devon (PL81LW) we are hosting a Long marathon/Baby Ultra-Marathon distance race, its actually 29.5 miles. It involves 2 estuary crossings at Burgh Island and the Erme Estuary before finishing in the pretty village of Holbeton. This is the 2nd year of the races.

Courses are now designed so you can expect a lovely mix of private footpaths, coastal path, bridle paths, country fields and Woodland. However, the marathon incorporates the South West Coast Path on both sides of the estuary including a beach section at Bigbury-on-Sea and a run across the causeway to the privately owned Burgh Island.

On marked paths to the west of the island, we take you up to the top of the island, you descend and cross the causeway to continue the South West Coast Path further westwards climbing some awesome hills before racing the tide at Wonwell beach, across the estuary and running across Mothecombe beach. You then follow a circular route, continuing on the South West Coast Path for a few miles and on to the village to finish to pick up your well earned medal.

Cornish MarathonPensilva, Cornwall, GB

The Cornish Marathon is Cornwall's only all road marathon. It began in 1984 and originally started out from Saltash following the A38 and A390 to Lostwithiel. It started out as a wager between two organisers John Foster and Stephen Henderson that one could run faster than the other. Despite being run for charity, only 27 runners took the plunge, the winner managing 2.29 minutes and 15 secs, something to make all race winners this millenium envious. 78 runners turned out the next year and in 1987 it was handed over to East Cornwall Harriers.

Relocating to Rilla Mill in 1994, taking in much of the present route, it presented competitors with 3 miles of steady climbing from the gun. Finally changing to Pensilva, it starts from Millenium House, a much gentler introduction to the scenic circular out and back route which takes runners along the Draynes Valley, through the 'Poldark' country of Bodmin Moor, past King Arthur's legendary Dozmary Pool, Du Maurier's Jamaica Inn at Bolventor and back along the Fowey Valley, taking in a climb to Foredown between miles 24 and 25, which most runners will remember for a long time, and not just for the fabulous views !

The Wild Night RunSouth Brent, GB

10 MILE WILD NIGHT RUN RACE
The South Wests toughest Night Race returns for a 6th year! 10 tough, muddy, rocky, boggy miles on Dartmoor.

The first five miles is mainly uphill following the river to Shipley Bridge with one or two brief descents to give you some respite. There is then a tarmac section (though still slightly uphill) before you get out onto Dartmoor. Blizzards, nearly waist deep bogs youll find them all in this section of the course. The second half is mainly downhill but with a couple of short sharp climbs to keep you on your toes including the notorious and very muddy Brent Hill. This is a tough race and not for the faint-hearted. Matching your half marathon time on a flat track is not easy!

5 MILE MILD NIGHT RUN
Still wild but shorter. This follows the stunning river path from South Brent to Shipley Bridge, mainly uphill with a couple of short downs, then loops round to descend a steep rocky track (care needed) before rejoining the last section of the river path. Still challenging but aimed at less experienced runners.

1 KM AND 2KM KIDS RACES
We have now added kids races to the Wild Night Run for children aged 2-11.

Endurancelife South Devon MarathonBeesands, Devon, GB

This is where the Coastal Trail Series was born - the South Devon stage has become a cult classic. The course is contained within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and is simultaneously picturesque and punishing. With its blend of jagged rocks interspersed with idyllic sandy coves, this coastline is jaw-droppingly beautiful and hugely inspiring.

The event sells out every year, and you'll soon see why as you weave your way around the technical coastline, before heading inland to tackle a few of the infamous Devon hills!
