About
The inaugural running of the newest half marathon in the North West. This is a glorious trail route taking in parts of the Irwell Sculpture Trail, the former Outwood colliery in Radcliffe, Outwood Trail, Philips Park and Prestwich Clough, featuring the listed 13 Arches viaduct at the centre of Philips Park. Expect a few hills and some mud, together with plenty of points of interest on the course.

Great trail run. Challenging with a killer hill at mile 12!!Unfortunately it came up 1k short on my GPS and on the several other runners i spoke to afterwards.Would definitely do it again though

Parking is quite limited, I only live 3km away from the start, if I'd know there was somewhere to store bags I would have run down to the start as a warm up, avoided an unnecessary car journey and freed up a parking space for someone travelling further.I ran it in road shoes as I don't currently have a decent pair for trail shoes, got away with it as the weather has been unusually dry over the last few months but will definitely be investing in some decent trail shoes for next year.

Have run this twice now. Interesting course, mix of paths, trail, hills and beautiful scenery. Marshalls only at key points, but are excellent. Fab finish line, lots of snacks, prizes overly generous. This isnt a PB course, but is fun, stunning, well organised, and a small local race. Lots of the runners all knew each other, its a very friendly event. If you want to enter, do so early on, as it sells out fast! Ill be back for 2019.
