Come and join the second race in this fun and friendly canal dash series. This trail run is open to runners of all abilities so sign up and race along the beautiful canal paths from Mytholmroyd to Brighouse.

  • Race finish Brighouse

This is the second in a series of 4 canal races, all finishing next to Jeremys at The Boathouse in Brighouse. This race begins in Mytholmroyd and takes runners 17k along the picturesque, winding canal paths to the finish.

The terrain will be varied on this trail style route and will be mostly very flat, making it a great experience for a wide range of abilities. So whether you're an experienced trail runner, or looking to try something new this event is perfect.

Canal Dash Series

  • Points are awarded to the first 5 finishers in each category. The first place is awarded 5 points, the second 4 and so on.

  • All finishers receive 1 point for attendance.

Race Number

There will be no physical race numbers, but you will receive a race number via email when you enter which is your number for the whole Canal Dash series. Please write this number on your hand or get creative and make your own physical race number.

Race Start

All you need to do on the day is let the team know you have arrived, remember your race number, then head towards the start area.

Bag Drop

The bag drop will be next to registration and will close at 19:00. Please place your own bag in the back of the vehicle being used and your bag will be taken to the finish for you. There is a chance you will arrive at the finish before your bag, but you won't have to wait long.

By Car

Mytholmroyd is situated west of Halifax and the A646 runs right through the town and close to the event start on Midgely Road.

Parking

Competitors are requested to car share, or travel by public transport.

By Train

Mytholmroyd Station is a 5 minute walk from the start of the race, and Brighouse Station is a 5 minute walk from the finish of the race.
