Race to the King 100k Ultramarathon will take runners around the South Downs National Park, taking in the Chichester coast and Arundel Castle as they stride to the finish. Billed as the perfect first ultra, this figure of 8 loop makes it the simplest possible format to tick off 100k. With 2 50k routes available as well, there's something for everyone!

100k Non-Stop
Distance: 100k Elevation: 4,619ft GPX
Designed to challenge the most experienced Ultra participant, whilst providing the perfect entry point for those taking on their first ultra-marathon. The 100KM takes you on a journey to the coast before looping back to Goodwood Racecourse and out towards Arundel Castle and the heights of the South Downs.
Day 1: The 50k coastal trail
Route: Goodwood – Goodwood Distance: 50k Elevation: 1,885ft GPX
As you set off on your memorable journey down to Chichester Harbour and through the ancient village of Bosham, you’ll take in the panoramic views of this coastal Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With rolling hills, luscious greenery, and fantastic wildlife through Kingley Vale Nature Reserve, you won’t want your journey to end, even if it is at our fantastic Goodwood basecamp!
Day 2: The 50k Castle Trail
Route: Goodwood – Goodwood Distance: 51.5k Elevation: 2,663ft GPX
Setting off from Basecamp and heading through the historic town of Arundel you will witness the impressive Arundel Castle as you meander along the River Arun. As you head towards the finish you will journey across the South Downs Way, where you can expect challenging climbs amongst breathtaking surroundings every step of the way, ending back at Glorious Goodwood.

Get full directionsParking
Participant car parking is available at Goodwood Racecourse. This will be available to purchase prior to the event. An event parking permit will be sent to you in your Registration Pack and must be clearly displayed in your vehicle.
There will also be drop-off and pick-up areas at each location. There is a maximum wait time of 30 mins. It is free of charge and does not need to be booked.
If you drop out during the event it is your responsibility to make your way back to your car.
All cars are left at owners’ risk and must be collected before the car park closes.

Your race packs will get sent out 1 week before the event start date.
If you are travelling from overseas, you will not receive your pack in the post and you will need to pick it up from the registration desk on the day.

Friends and family are more than welcome to come support.
Spectators are allowed into the basecamp. Limited parking will be available for them. All non-overnight participants will need to be off the basecamp site by 10.00pm.
