Take on the challenge of the 2025 Great West Run this May. Starting and finishing at Exeter Arena, the Great West Run takes in everything that is great about the beautiful city of Exeter. From rolling hills, quiet country lanes and a city centre loop, the Great West Run will challenge you, as you push for the finish line on the track at Exeter Arena.

Route information

Our 2025 course is currently being finalised, but runners can expect an incredible atmosphere as the event travels through the city centre, tackles the challenging Exeter hills and takes in the fantastic sites the city has to offer.

Car Parking
Please note there is no car parking available at the event village or on the adjacent roads for the 2025 event.
Shuttle Bus
A shuttle bus service will once again be in operation at the 2025 event. Participants and spectators are able to purchase a return bus ticket for £4.00pp in the add-ons section of the entry form.
Bike Parking
A fully staffed bike park will be in operation at the 2025 event. This will be free for all participants and spectators.

Timings are subject to change and will be communicated closer to the event.
Race Packs
Race packs will be posted to participants in the month leading up to the event. Digital race guides will also be sent via email.
Bag Drop
A bag drop facility will be available to all participants in the race village. Please use the baggage tag tear-off attached to your running number.
Cut-off time
There is a strict 4-hour cut off time for the event so as to abide by the strict road re-opening times.
Age Requirement
All Half Marathon participants must be aged 17 or over on race day
All 10K participants must be aged 15 or over on race day
There is no minimum age for the Moki Community Mile, although younger children should be accompanied by an adult.

What time does the race start?

09:00 - 2025 Bishop Fleming Great West Run Half Marathon, 09:10 - Moki Community Mile, 09:30 - 2025 Bishop Fleming Great West Run 10K. Timings are subject to change and will be communicated closer to the event.

Where does the race start/finish?

The races will all start and finish at Exeter Arena.

What is the minimum age to enter the event?

Participants must be 17 years or older on race day to enter the Half Marathon, and 15 years or older on race day to enter the 10K. There is no age limit for the Moki Community Mile, although we advise small children are accompanied by an adult.

Is the course accessible to wheelchair athletes?

Absolutely, our event takes place entirely on paved surfaces.

When will I receive my race pack?

Digital and physical race packs will be distributed in the month leading up to the event.
