Route information
Distance: 290k Road and 150k Off-Road
Terrain: Road, Trail, Gravel, Paths

This route will have you traversing 290k of road-riding and 150k off-road. This course will take you through Kirroughtree, Dalbeattie, Mabie, Ae, Newcastleton and Glentress. The mountain bike sections will be the red routes at each of the 7 Stanes mountain bike centres. The trail course markings will be trail post marking showing the red routes, and will not be marked with other event signage. The road ride sections will not be marked and you must follow the GPX route file provided you at the event.
You will have to ride throughout the night to complete this event, participants can change riders and bikes wherever they wish as long as it is safe on the course. All teams or solo riders must be self-supported throughout. You may also use an E-Bike, however, all E-bike teams or entrants will be listed separately on the event results.

Age Requirements
Entrants must be 18 years or older to participate.
Cut-off
If you do not reach the cut-off time at 12:00 on Sunday, you must collect your current rider and head to Glentress to hand in your timing chip and leave the event.
Not making it to the finish doesn’t mean DQ though. You will be ranked as follows:
- A) Finish time for those who completed the course
- B) Order of distance covered when the clock stops
Rules
- Obey the rules of the road
- No drafting
- No pacing
- Support vehicles cannot accompany the active rider, they must leapfrog safely up the road and wait in suitable places
- Your GPS tracker must get transferred between your active riders and changeover
Sustainability
- Cups: There will be no cups at the feed stations. You will need to bring your own hydration system if it is a camelback, hydration vest, soft bottle, or collapsible cup. You will be able to top it up at the feed stations.
- T-Shirts: When you enter you will have the option of choosing your event T-Shirt, the organiser will donate the equivalent cost of your T-shirt to the selected charity.
FAQs
What bike do I need for the 24:SEVEN?
This event covers a mixture of terrain and bike choice is up to competitors. Bike choices will be entirely down to rider ability.
What is the exact route for the 24:SEVEN?
Athlete information will include GPX files for the road sections. The route at each of the Seven Stanes Centres will be following the permanent Black or Red Course arrows.
Are there any showers at the 24:SEVEN?
Pay as you go showers are available at Glentress.
