The 3 Peaks Cyclo-Cross is staged in the Yorkshire Dales National Park every year at the end of September. It is the toughest and biggest cyclo-cross event in the UK. Race distance is 38 miles, of which 34 is rideable (20 cross and 18 road) and 5000 feet of climbing.

For the first 5.5km (led by the safety car) for safety reasons because of the nature of the local roads. This will be in conjunction with a rolling road closure.
38 miles, of which 34 is rideable (20 cross and 18 road) and 5000 feet of climbing.
The first 5.5kms from Helwith Bridge will be escorted – competitors will ride behind the lead car in a rolling road closure.
Total distance: 61kms (38 miles)
Road: 28kms (45mins – 1hr 5mins)
Unsurfaced: 33kms (2hrs 15mins – 4hrs 40mins)
Unrideable: 6kms – 8kms (dependent on individual ability & prevailing conditions)
Total climbing: 1524m (5000ft)
