**This event has become a virtual challenge. Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions**
This event has been changed to a virtual challenge due to increased restrictions from the government and your MoRun venue. You may not be able to physically come together but you can still run for each other, you can still run as one as MoRunners throughout the month of November, you can still dress up and grow a Mo (or paint one on!) and still continue to support Movember.
The Aberdeen Mo Running course takes you around the scenic Hazlehead Park. This is a cross-country/off-road run so it can sometimes get muddy. The route is gently undulating, and is a mix between trail paths and grassy/muddy sections. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs, but off-road running buggies are allowed. There will be marshals located all around the course and each kilometre will be signposted.
Please note that there are 2 road crossings on the route, so you must take care.
- 5k: 1 Lap

This is a great family event, with lots of silly fancy dress and groovy music, so it will be great fun to come and watch. You're more than welcome to come along and cheer your friends and family around the course. There's also a strong charitable focus, so the more support the better.
This is a fancy dress event, with special prizes for the best costume, so don't forget to dress up!
It is especially encouraged to draw on or wear a fake moustache (unless you've grown one already, that is). You will receive your free MoRunning Headband in your race pack, so make sure to put it on before the race.
**Please make sure that your Bib race number is fully visible on the outside.
The Aberdeen course is mostly off road and can get muddy, so it is recommended to wear trail running shoes.
Am I allowed to wear headphones in the Aberdeen MoRun?
Headphones are allowed, but you must make sure that you are aware of your surroundings and are able to hear instructions from marshals and fellow runners.
What are the age restrictions?
Children are permitted to run in any of the events, as long as their parent/guardian is confident that they are able to finish the course. Parents/guardians must be responsible for their children at all times. The Mini Mo event is restricted to younger children aged 3-12.
Is there anywhere I can leave my bags?
Yes, a bag storage area is located by the registration area. However, space is very limited so please pack lightly. The bag storage gazebos will always be attended, but it is not recommended to bring anything valuable.
Do I need to fundraise for the Movember Foundation?
Fundraising is not compulsory, but anything you can raise would make a big difference. When you enter, you have the option of making a donation. You can fundraise for any charity of your choice. MoRunning supports the Movember Foundation which tackles men's health, focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
Really bad weather conditions made the course hard to get a good run. Lack of Marshall's on route resulting in runners going the wrong way. We had to wait over an hour before the advertised start time due to the first aid not arriving on time in cold wet conditions . Bag area was also wet resulting in dry clothes getting wet too. Even if it hasn't been wet standing for an hour in November is never good before a run.
