Route information
10k
The race begins in the centre of the village, with a view over the harbour. From here, racers will head through the high street and up to Lon Pentre Bach, before turning left towards Sam Bach crossroads. A series of narrow lanes will take runners onto the glorious 'Tocyn Brutal' hill. The hill will challenge entrants with 600m of rough terrain and 140ft of elevation, but the view at the top is stunning before the course sweeps all the way back down onto the golf course.
The race concludes with an incredible beach finish, following the shoreline to the picture finish line, cheered on by a very supportive crowd of spectators.
3k Beach Race
Taking place just before the main event of the 10k, the 3k beach run is ideal for all abilities. Beginning and ending on the beach, runners will follow a real fun course that sweeps through the golf course, along a bridle track and back down onto the beach for that memorable finish at the water's edge.

How to get there

Get full directionsBy Car
Abersoch is located at the western edge of North Wales, on the Llyn Peninsula.
The best route from the South or the Midlands is to head toward Birmingham and then take the A458/A470/A487 to the Llyn Peninsula and finally the A497 to Abersoch.
From the North, it is best to enter Wales via Chester and then take the A55.A487 to the Llyn Peninsula and then the A499/A497 until Abersoch.
By Train
The closest railway station is Pwllheli, which is around a 15-minute drive to Abersoch. Trains run from London and take around 7 hours, however it'll be well worth it as you take in some of Wales' best scenery.

Race Packs
All event info regarding race packs will be sent out via email to entrants before the event. This will include where to pick up race packs from and what time to pick them up.
Age Requirements
For the 10k, entrants must be 15 years or older to participate. Those running in the 3k Beach event must be 5 years or older.
Cut-Off Time
Registrants for the 10k must be able to compete the full distance within 1 hour 45 minutes.
The Start
The start is located on Lon Pen Cei in the centre of the village. You will need to walk past The Vaynol Arms and Manan Restaurant to get there. It is important you are there 15 minutes before the start.
Registration
If you don't think you will be able to attend registration, you can nominate someone to attend registration and collect your number for you. Your nominee will need to provide a letter signed by you, giving them permission to collect your number, or a copy of your original online purchase. Your nominee will also need to bring some identification (for example, their passport or driving license).
Drink Station
For the 10k, there will be a water and energy drink station at the 3 mile point and at the finish line.
Spectator Info
Spectators are more than encouraged to come along and cheer on the runners. The main high street at the start is busy and creates a fantastic atmosphere. Then head down to Abersoch's gorgeous beach to cheer the runners over the line and enjoy the music and great atmosphere.
