It was not an easy route but the atmosphere was amazing the whole city came out to cheer the runners with water spray, fruits, water etc. It was well organised and by far it was of great value.

I did the half marathon, great atmosphere and didn’t find the Itchen Bridge too bad, loved running through the stadium and got a great race photo In the stadium. The hill towards the end felt tough luckily there was a water station at the top and it was a warm day.

Great event! A challenging two lap course and amazing support for the first lap (which coincided with those running the half marathon) and a quieter second lap, but still with amazing locals out to keep us going! The final mile was amazing with all the support and cheers. Well organised, good marshalling, excellent medical support and a lovely medal! If you want a “not flat” marathon and some beautiful scenery despite being through the city, this one is for you!

Number collection was so disorganised, the start was disorganised and the half and full started together which made it very difficult and busy ! the pacers were no where to be seen as they were all mixed up with marathon and half marathon

4th time of running Southampton half.... previous years have been horrible, not the course, not the organisation nor the atmosphere, just me and probably not being fit enough. However, this year I laid the demons to rest and enjoyed it from start to finish.Great run, well organised and well supported by the City of Southampton... Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a few challenging hills - Itchen Bridge and Burgess Road are particular favourites !!! All mixed in with a bit of park running, through the Premier League Stadium, wiggling through the ports along side the Solent and around the suburbs of Southampton where all the residents get out and support the runners. Well done ABP and Southampton..... Will be back next year.
