Run North West

The race is ran on a smooth tarmac away from Wilmslow and then turning back and running back on the same route. With only gentle undulation, this promises fast times for club and fun runners alike with PB potential.

Good points: Having pacers was great idea, they did a really great job. The medal is nice also. Marshalls all very nice and friendly. I loved the course, lots of room for everyone and just a straight road, up the bypass and then back again, but I know that's not for everyone. The free race photos are excellent. The number collection was really east, efficient and well organised, even if it was 1km away from the start line! The in-course entertainment was ok, the 3 guys on stilts playing drums were cool, the rest where a bit cringe. Nice quality medal too. Bad points: the parking was 1km from the start line and 2km from the finish line. The mini runners village "race HQ" was near the parking, so also 2km from the finishline. There was not enough toilets at start, so I ran with a full bladder, then, during the race they removed all the toilets, so at the finish line there was no toilets at all! You have to walk 2km to the parking block, and then there was a que for those toilets also. They were also late to re-open the by pass, so stuck in large jam on the way home. The run also started 7 mins late.Overall the good points far outweigh the negatives for me, I have already booked my next 10k with run north west.

Music, marshalls and organisation was superb. Wasn't overly impressed with the course as not keen on out and back routes
