Route information
The tough, off-road run around Greenfield will be 8.5k and include 400 metres of climbing.
The race will start and finish on Churchill Playing Fields, with the route taking runners up towards Pots and Pans, then to Shaw Rocks and over to Alderman’s Hill.
The race route is mostly off road and covers narrow paths and uneven terrain, with steep, grassy climbs and descents. Whilst we do not require competitors to have previous experience of fell racing, we do require that they have some experience of running on this type of terrain.
The course will be partially marked with flags and will be marshalled at key points. However competitors should have the necessary navigational skills to find their way around the course in the prevailing conditions, in expectation of no support. All competitors have primary responsibility for their own safety.

Get full directionsLimited parking at the Club House and at the top of Shaw Hall Bank Rd. Parking also available on Chapel Rd and Wellington Rd. Please car share as much as possible and show consideration to local residents when parking. Binn Green is a small car park but there is plenty of road parking along the A635 but please be aware that this is a fast road so please keep a close eye on your child as you will have to cross the road to get to the start of the races.
