Route information
The Allerthorpe Triathlons are designed to be a fun, friendly and relaxed event with friendly marshalls and plenty of crew around to encourage and support the participants.
Sprint
Comprising a 750m smooth lake swim in the safe man-made Allerthorpe Lake, followed by a flat 20k road bike course around the quiet country lanes and a similarly flat and pretty 5k run.
Super Sprint
This race will consist of a 400m swim in the shallow and clear open water lake within Allerthrope Lakeland Park. The water depth is no more than 5ft, giving entrants the option to stand if needed. This venue is also well sheltered from winds, meaning the water is flat and not choppy.
The bike portion of this race has triathletes take on a flat 10k road course around the quiet country lanes of the park. The super-sprint race ends with a flat 2.5k loop of the grounds.
Olympic
The toughest of all races on the day, the Olympic tri is for those looking for a challenge. The Olympic race consists of a 1.5k swim, followed by a 40k cycle and a 10k run to finish.
70.3
Comprising a 1.9km smooth lake swim in the safe man-made Allerthorpe Lake, followed by a flat 90km road bike course around the quiet country lanes and a similarly flat and pretty 21.1km run.

You must collect your race pack on the morning of the event from registration at the venue. Please note that nothing will be sent to you through the post. Your race pack will include the following:

Do I need to be BTF affiliated in order to take part in the Allerthorpe Sprint, Supersprint, Olympic & 70.3 Triathlon?
Not at all, absolutely anyone can enter this event. If you are not BTF affiliated however, you will need to purchase a day licence by selecting the standard entry ticket at the checkout. The day licence will cost £6.
Will I receive my race pack for the Allerthorpe Sprint, Supersprin, Olympic & 70.3 Triathlon in the post?
You will receive nothing in the post. Race packs must be collected on the morning of the event, well before the start of your race.
