This course is part of the Wrexham County Trilogy Series. The Trilogy Series allows runners to take in best scenery the Wrexham County has to offer. Alyn Waters is the perfect middle to this series, as it's undulating track is a good step up from its predecessor Chirk Castle.

This course is second in the Wrexham County Trilogy and is a mixture of hard surface and trails which are all very well looked after. There are numerous flat areas with one challenging long climb – The rest of the course is either flat or undulating.
Throughout the course there will be marshals in key locations as well as signs to ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment.
Alyn Waters Country Park is one of the largest parks in Wrexham County. It is bordered by the River Alyn which splits the park into two parts.

Parking £1 for the entire day. The machine does accept cards and contactless, so be sure to bring change.

Getting There Alyn Waters Country Park is a short distance from the A483 on the Mold Road. The entrance to the park is signposted from the main road.

Age Requirements
  • Junior: participants need to be aged 10-15 to take part in the Junior category
  • Open: participants need to be aged 16-39 to take part in the Open category
  • Master: participants need to be aged 40 and over to take part in the Master category
Cut-off Time
The course closes at 12:00, meaning you must cross the finish line by this time.
Water stations
Participants are asked to bring their own refillable bottle. Water will be available at the aid station to refill your bottles.
Aid Stations
There will be Vegan and Vegetarian friendly aid stations at this event.
First aid
St john’s Ambulance will be providing First Aid on site.
Bag Drop
There is no bag drop at this event. Participants should leave their belongings with friends/family, or in their vehicles.

Toilets available near start/ finish line.
Race Rules
Changing your race distance is available until 72 hours before race start. Please note that there will be an admin fee for changing to a longer distance category, there are no refunds for changing to a shorter distance category.

If due to circumstances beyond our control the event needs to be cancelled or rescheduled, your entry will automatically be transferred to the next local event. Due to the high costs of staging events such as this, the event organiser is unable to offer refunds.
