Route information
The Trail Blaze Run, hosted jointly by Maverick and the Andrew Simpson Foundation, is the kickoff event for the Iconic series.
The courses will start and finish at the Andrew Simpson Centre in Theale, and head out along mellow, hard-packed trails that are suitable for novice runners, road runners looking to dabble in trail running, or seasoned trail blazers looking for speed along a fast and fun course.
The route will meander along the banks of the Kennet & Avon Canal, taking in views of classical style bridges, canal boats, Lochs, and rolling countryside moors.
In addition to the running event, the Andrew Simpson Centre will provide free sailing and watersports sessions to people of all ages and abilities throughout the day. Once you're done running, celebrate at the Festival Village where you will be treated with food and drink stalls, live music, and activities for the whole family to enjoy.
