Where and when

Runners will experience beautiful surroundings on the Woodland Trails which once hosted the Commonwealth Mountain and Ultra Distance Running Championships. Taking in the quiet forest, sea views and sandy running trails this is a trail experience to remember.
The race begins on the wide stoney forest track next to the beach, where you will catch stunning views of the Llyn Peninsula and Llanddwyn Island. Upon reaching the Island, a right turn takes the runners into the pine forest on single track sandy trails. The course then loops round on the path dividing the the forest and the open Newborough Warren allowing for spectacular views out to sea. One final turn brings the runners right back to where they started and a rousing reception from the spectators at the finish line.
The longer course will take runners through equally beautiful surroundings, based mostly in Newborough Forest. The course will then snake along Afon Cefni, one of the main rivers on the island of Anglesey. Just as for the 10k, the Half Marathon runners will finish where they started greeted by wonderful support.
