The race begins on the wide stone forest track next to the beach, where you will catch stunning views of the Llyn Peninsula and Llanddwyn Island. Upon reaching the Island, a right turn takes the runners into the pine forest on single track sandy trails. The course then loops around on the path dividing the forest and the open Newborough Warren, allowing for spectacular views out to sea. One final turn brings the runners right back to where they started and a rousing reception from the spectators at the finish line.
Half Marathon
The course takes you through the trees onto the stunning Llanddwyn Island and onwards to beautiful winding woodland trails which once hosted the Commonwealth Mountain and Ultra Distance Running Championships. You’ll catch glimpses of the Llyn Peninsula and the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia) amongst other incredible views. With loads of single track forest trails, quiet forest views and sandy running trails, there is something for everyone in this race. The course loops round to bring runners back to where they started and a hero's welcome from the spectators on the finish line.
