About this event

Returning for 2019 for the 3rd year: Ashbourne 10 is a 5k, 10k or 10mile trail run on a smooth path. Starting and finishing in Ashbourne Leisure Centre car park at 9.30am, the race is an out-and-back route along the Tissington Trail. Ashbourne is known as the gateway to The Peak District. This is a beautiful route with amazing views from the former train line across the Derbyshire Dales. Enjoy the stunning scenery & abundance of wildlife. Turn points are set up along the route at 2.5k, 5k and 5mile & waterstations will be along the route.

What are we all about? We are all about great sporting events! From Triathlons to Marathons, 10k or 10miles, Duathlons, Aquathlons & Ultra Runs. Putting onto the map events in superb locations with fantastic routes, that are up hill and down dale & even through the occasional wood. All of the events that we stage come with the guarantee of no-nonsense fun & are known for being the friendliest & most welcoming for novices & beginners - as well as ensuring a first class well organised event .

Signing in, bag drop excellent, start (10k) a bit chaotic, lot of runners milling around asking each other what was happening as no one could hear the PA, start waves did nt appear to happen and advertised start times passed before GO sign appeared and everyone did! Marshals brilliant and good atmosphere despite drizzle! Enjoyable event.… read more

The ground has a hard surface. It is firm & even in most places - The Tissington Trail is open to the public & there may be walkers & cyclists & horse riders using the trail. Turn points are set up along the route at 2.5k, 5k and 5mile & waterstations will be along the route.

Car parking - there will be NO car parking available at Ashbourne Leisure Centre as the finish line & race village are held in the car park. Please use a public car park in Ashbourne. There are limited free parking spaces (max 4 hours) at Halfords just a few minutes walk away at Waterside Retail Park, Ashbourne, DE6 1DG. Please car share to save our environment.
