Great event, my first duathlon, and couldn't have picked a better location, the runs are around the grounds so free of traffic and the bike route is very scenic. One hill to contend with and watch out for the packs of deer sometimes.

First duathlon, wow. As a casual runner with a cheap road bike I thought I'd give it a go. We all need a challenge from time to time don't we.Was made very welcome at registration and given a bit of advice, always welcome for a novice like me.Nice run route on mix of path and grass. Nothing too challenging although could get a bit boggy if we have a bit of rain.As for the bike section, definitely need your brave pills for the speed humps on the downhill stretches. As for that hill at miles 4 and 10! Thought my thighs were going to explode and still some whooshed passed me as if it was nothing. How do they do that? The second half was pure torture, sanity was questioned (a lot) but I got my medal. I did it. All pain immediately forgotten.Encouragement from the marshals definitely played it's part there. They were great. Also good to see medics on the course checking that competitors were ok too. And now to book the next one. Preferably without too many hills. That or do some proper training. If you're thinking of giving it a go, what's stopping you? You can do this.

The Ashridge race series are a favourite of mine. Even though my main A races tend to be Ironman, Ashridge and ATW always lay on a great event on my favourite local roads

Was good race really enjoyed it . Only negative comment wont be the very bad roads and also there was a run on a section of the road on the bike course . The runners where all over the road and was dangerous as some didnt move even when asked to as they where bit confused. Had to stop . But g eat atmosphere

My first multi sport race. Great organisation, marshals were very friendly and helpful. Loved the course. Can't wait until the next one.

The winter conditions made it a hard event. It was slippy on the mud for the run. The bike was very windy and we did have a dead Badger! But as always it was well organised and stewarded. The atmosphere was very supportive.

Great event from start to finish. Amazing venue, friendly and professional Marshalls. Routes are tough, but if you take time to look up theres some decent views. 4 stars for event set up - arrived at about 7am and there were no signs directing to registration. VERY minor detail. Overall a great event. Great atmosphere all the way through, music at the start and great commentary leading up to the start and throughout the race. Will def consider next year, unfinished business with that Badger!!!!
