Decided to do this after winning my age group in the previous race, didn't realise it was a national championship this time and was absolutely blown away. Managed to finish around 5mins faster but finished about 20 places lower in my age group alone. Brilliant event though, well organised, great setting and good fun.

Epic race as it was also the National Championships, so high calibre if athletes. It was pretty muddy on the run which didnt suit my trainer choice though. Ill be back!

Beautiful setting at Ashridge house. The course was described as a mixture of trail/paths, however this was definitely a cross country run. Well organised event, blinging medal.

Run course was a bit cross country in parts and I thought it was all on paths so would of been nice to know as unwound of worn different footwear.Speed bumps also bit of a pain and led to me bending my aerobars.

Another well executed Ashridge Duathlon, weather was kind given the time of year, good testing bike course and great round round the grounds of the management college. As long as you set your expectations given this is in mid Feb then expect a great early season event.

I wish the instructions were better on where to put the numbers on your bike and helmet and what to do with the tri-belt. I felt a bit lost as I arrived on my own and had to keep asking people what to do.The running course was a bit muddy and the speed bumps and the potholes slowed me down a bit..

My 2nd Ashridge Duathlon this year and I finished top in my AG so obviously very pleased with my result. I also participated in 2 of the races last year, so I'm a great fan of this event. The bike course is fun and takes you on an honest loop repeat 4 times. Typical Hertfordshire roads (so not great) with awful speedbumps, but it all adds to the mix. I love the run course, with it's mixture of off road and tracks which definitely require trail shoes at this time of year.ATW are a great local event company and they always put on a cracking race, whatever it is.I'll be back next year.

Really enjoyed the bike course as it had lots of different sections to it so didnt get boring. Was muddy on the run, so would definitely recommend trail shoes. Overall a really fun/ well run event :)
