Route information
This half marathon route follows a 1 lap course, starting at Aylsham Recreation Ground and finish in Aylsham Market place. You will pass through a number of quaint Norfolk villages including Blickling, taking in the very best of the North Norfolk countryside.
It is a 100% road race, with marshals and good signage throughout to support and direct you along the route.
This event has been rescheduled from October 2023, due to flooding.

The official car park for the race will be at the Aylsham Scout Ground on Stonegate, next to Woodgate nursery. The car park is 1 mile from the start line, so the organiser will be putting on regular shuttle buses to the start line (starting just after 7am, last shuttle at 8:30am) for those that don’t fancy a warm up walk/jog before the race. There will be signs and marshals directing any walkers/runners to the start line.

You cannot access the car park via Woodgate nursery, the entrance is located on the junction of Stonegate and Henry Page Rd/B1145.
The car park will open at 7am and the final shuttle bus will leave at 8:30am.
The race finishes in Aylsham Market Place, a 10-15 minute walk back to the car park. There will be no shuttle buses back to the car park as it is a shorter walk.

Age Requirements
All runners must be aged 17 or older on the day of the event.
Race Packs
You can choose whether you want your race pack sent to you (£1 extra) or to collect it on the day of the event. If you opt to have it sent, you will receive it the week before the race at the latest.
Water Stations
Water in biodregadable cups will be available at 3 points along the course (approx. every 5k) as well as at the finish line. If you are carrying your own bottle, you will be able to fill it up at the water stations too.
Bag Drop
There will be a bag drop at the start line. Your bags with then be transported to the finish line for you to collect when you cross the line.
FAQs
Can I wear headphones at the Autumn Blickling Half Marathon?
As this is an England Athletics Certified road race, only bone conducting headphones are allowed at this race.
