Route information
The race starts at about 1100 feet, with the Cairngorm Mountains setting a spectacular backdrop, and finishes in Aviemore at 720 feet, having passed through the ancient Glenmore Forest, around Loch Morlich, and over the Spey River. The 10k and Half-marathon offers a mixture of good solid forest track, paths and tarmac roads.

Limited ticketed parking available on site. There is a shuttle from Aviemore. If driving to Badaguish it is located on the A9 linking Edinburgh with Inverness.

Age Requirements
- 10k: 16 or over
- Half Marathon: 17 or over

Alterations to the event may include:
- Digital briefings instead of race day briefing
- Extended transition areas to accommodate social distancing
- Spectators could be discouraged depending on social distancing guidelines
- Removal of prize-giving if necessary
Cancellation Policy
In the event that you cannot take part your entry will not be refunded or transferred but will be donated to the Speyside Trust Charity.
Rules
Runners must:
- Not wear any headphones including aftershockz
- Stay within 1 metre of the left hand hard shoulder on public roads
- Only use manned crossings
- Adhere to the highway code
- Follow the marked route throughout
- Beware of overtaking runners
- Carry your own water - there will be 2 water stations on the Half Marathon and 1 on the 10k
- Make sure to have your bib visible at all time
- Inform a steward if you drop out.

What are the minimum age limits for the Aviemore Half Marathon and 10k?
The half marathon is 17 years or over and the 10k for all is aged 16 or over.
What type of running shoe do I need for the Aviemore Half Marathon and 10k?
Normal, well-cushioned running shoes should be more than adequate for the trails and road surfaces.
Can I wear headphones at the Aviemore Half Marathon and 10k?
Unfortunately, the use of all headphones including aftershockz are banned.
Is there an age requirement for the Aviemore Half Marathon and 10k?
Yes there is, entrants must be 17 or over for the half marathon and 16 or over for the 10k
