Meet the organizerIcon

We organise off road running races of various distances and skill levels throughout the Bath & Bristol areas of the South West of England. Aspire was formed in 2014 by husband and wife team, Tony & Donna King with the sole aim to get everyone, young and old out into the great outdoors – Therefore getting healthier and fitter as a family in some of the South West’s most scenic places and venue’s. Our races are open to all abilities and we will NEVER set time limits, that is simply against all we believe in here. However, we do occasionally throw into the race calendar races for the more experienced (We do like to cater for everyone at Aspire after all!) Our events have varying distances on offer and every finisher receives a medal, yes even our very own free 5 and unders 50m dash! From September, 2017 we will be introducing new bespoke medals for every event. (We all like our bling after all!) Aspires ethos is as follows: Everyone loves a challenge and we simply want all our lovely runners to enjoy themselves, enjoy the varied routes on offer and keep smiling (You never know where the race photographer will be after all!) But more importantly just believe in yourself and just remember at the finish line there will be our usual and now famous finishers table… Yes , that means cakes and treats!

Very cold day for my first race of the year, the first 2k out on the main path was just what was needed to get breathing and body working right, off road bit of the course was very very muddy and in places I am not sure it was just mud (!) and the field that was water logged was ok as only went up to my knees and was kinda on the home stretch. Again 2k stretch on the main path to home was welcomed for tired legs and for very mud clogged trail shoes. Great start to the year, super organised, loved all the marshals cheering on and smiling despite the conditions.

This is the 2nd year I've ran in this race it's so much fun, very muddy and wet but that's just what I signed up for! The marshals were excellent, so helpful and encouraging. Definitely recommend it

Loads of mud, loads of fun, plenty of supportive marshalls, great atmosphere!

I love Aspire events. They cater for all ages and abilities. Really enjoyed this event as I got to compete with my 8 yr old (who beat me soundly). The atmosphere is always friendly and I love the fact it's a relatively small event as it feels more personal.

I love all Aspire races, well organised, friendly and suitable for all. This course was very muddy but we were warned that is was.

Awesome! Muddy, wet, slippery, cold, early!! Worth dragging myself out of bed at 6.30 on a miserable February Saturday morning. Was still smiling at tea time.
  • Did the 4km in 2018

I ran this with my 3 children (all under 9) and we loved it. The route is flat, the marshals were super friendly, the other runners were really encouraging, especially to my 4 year old, the medal is nice and the sweet treats at the end were a bonus for my hungry boys. We are looking forward to doing this again later in the year. We've already recommended it to others.
