Starting at Leigh Court, you will head into Leigh Woods along smooth trails. The 10K does the same loop as the 5K course, plus a loop that goes south and deeper into the woods.

Raceday Logistics

Timings:

  • 16:30 - Registration Opens
  • 18:00 - 2K and 1K Trail Races start
  • 19:00 - 5K and 10K Trail Races start
  • 20:40 - Cut-off time for all races

At registration runners will receive their race number and tracking chip. Please arrive well in advance of your race time to help ease congestion.

Kit List

Please note that head torches are compulsory. This is due to the fact that although parts of the route are illuminated, runners will be running through some dark areas. Reflective or fluorescent clothing would also be useful.

Spectators

Spectators are more than welcome at this event and it is a great evening out for the family. The sight of several hundred head torches twinkling through the dark is not to be missed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there an age limit?
Yes, there are age restrictions for all 4 races: 10K: 16+, 5K: 12+, 2K: Ages 8-11, 1K: Ages 3-7
What type of head torch will I need?
Generally the more expensive the head torch, the brighter and more reliable the light will be and it will enable you to run faster. It is recommended that you spend at least £30 on a head torch. A £5 petrol station head torch is not recommended.
Can I race with my dog?
Dogs are not permitted on the course.
Can I wear headphones?
No, the use of music players and earphones is not allowed during the race.

    Did the 5K Trail Race in 2020

    I enjoyed it, but it wasn’t so clear where to go - some 5k runners did 4K, some did 6k, there were few signs and not really enough Marshalls. It was fun tho, liked the fire pits and the snacks at the end, so thanks.
