The Bates Green Gallop takes runners along a beautiful trail course in East Sussex. Runners will take on as many laps of the 3.5 mile course within 6 hours as they can. Entrants will be running through the gorgeous Sussex countryside through woods, across fields and along the River Cuckmere.
Due to the trail nature of the course, there will be some uneven sections on the course so please look out for tree roots and low branches.
If you're looking to run the distance of a marathon, you will need to run 8 laps of this course.
You'll be able to check into the aid station after every lap to fuel or rest up for the next leg of your race.

The parking will be located in a large field opposite to the farm entrance. The nearest postcode for the parking is BN26 6SH.
Event day logistics

Registration
Entrants should collect their race numbers at the event as nothing will be posted. Registration is located in the large barn near the entrance to the wood. All entrants should bring their ID with them.
Age Requirements
You will need to be aged 18 or over on event day to participate in the Bates Green Gallop.
Briefing & Information
Final race day and route information will be emailed by the Thursday before the event.
A brief YouTube video will be uploaded of the race brief the week before the event as well as a briefing 15 mins before the start of the event.
Timing
You will be issued with a wristband at the end of each lap for lap counting. More detailed information on how lap counting will work will be sent out prior to event day.
Onsite facilities
Toilets will be located a few metres from the start/finish line.
Aid Station
The aid station will be at the start/finish of the lap and where you will be able to get drinks and snacks to keep you going. It is typically stocked with fruit, cake, potatoes, crisps, nuts and more. Everything provided will be vegan.
This will be the only water point on the course, so you might want to run with a bottle to stay hydrated.
*No disposable cups or bottles will be available, please bring your own.
