Route information
The flat and varied routes will take in the lovely surroundings of Woodbury Common and Bicton College. Although runners may encounter some mud, the majority of the routes will be run on well drained, sandy soil, allowing runners to enjoy their running on flat and reliable surfaces. All the races will take place in the dark creating a wonderful and unique experience for all competitors. The courses will all be well marked with poles, arrows and flashing lights.
Kids 1k and 2k
Both races will take part exclusively within the grounds of Bicton College.
5k
The 5k route is new for 2022, and although 3k of this race will take place on tarmac, it is on extremely quiet country lanes where there will be little to no traffic. The race will be a combination of these on road sections and a few great and varied off road sections.
10k
The 10k has the same start and finish as the 5k with the extra distance coming from a complete loop of Woodbury Common, which includes a fun single track section. Running the loop of the Common in the dark will be a wonderful, immersive experience for everyone taking part.
Half Marathon
Runners taking on the Half Marathon will complete two loops of the great 10k course. Don't worry about having to complete the same loop twice, running in the dark will make it seem just as unfamiliar second time around.
