Route information
Both distances start and finish on the east side of the pier and head along the Bournemouth shoreline up to Boscombe.
The low tide provides a good hard packed sand to run on . There are a number of groynes serving as man-made obstacles you will have to negotiate. Most are no more than 2 to 3 feet high and can be jumped or stepped over.

Bournemouth station is the closest train station to the start location, situated 1.1 miles away, which should take roughly 25 minutes to walk. Alternatively, ride the number 13 bus (towards Wimborne Minster), alighting at Bournemouth Station (Stand 1), which will take you right by the start.
Parking
There are plenty of Pay & Display car parks in the surrounding Bournemouth area. Please arrive early, allowing time to find alternative car parking spaces if it is busy.

The minimum age of entry is 7 years old, however children (under 18) must be supervised by a parent or adult who is also participating.

Chip-timing is not guaranteed, however if chip-timing cannot happen, alternative measures will be in place to ensure a time is captured.
