Route description
Route description

This race is a self-navigation event, all participants must be able to read a map and a compass.

50 mile Ultra

Both starting at Gilestone Farm, the Marathon, and Ultra will ensure you will feel the burn in your legs as you ascend Pen y Fan, the highest point in South Wales. This will be a challenging, yet rewarding route as you will get to see breathtaking views at the top. This whole route has a whopping elevation gain of 10,442ft, this route is not for the faint of heart.

Marathon

The marathon route also begins at Gilestone Farm taking you along the Taff Trail and finally up into the Black Mountains. In the Black Mountains, take in the fantastic scenery. The total elevation gain of this route is 5,869ft.

This race is a self-navigation event, all participants must be able to read a map and a compass.

Starting Locations

  • Start Venue (50mile Ultra and Marathon): Gilestone Farm Talybont on Usk Brecon LD37JE
  • Finish Venue: Perth y Pia Outdoor Activity Centre, Llanbedr, Crickhowell, NP8 1SY
  • Participants will be transported to the start from the finish

Cut-off Times

  • 50 miles: 24 hours
  • 26 miles: 12 hours
