Route information
10 km route
The 10 km route will start in Beaminster, before heading for Stoke Abbott. Once past The New inn (great for spectators), runners head for Norway lane and a special little friend. With some spectacular views over the rolling Dorset countryside, runners have a mix of rolling hills, fast and flat sections and one very special incline but its still stunning to run on. The down hill section once runners turn towards Stoke Abbott is fast, and as runners pass The New inn the end is close, after a few hills (little ones)!
5 km route
The 5 km run will also start and finish in Beaminster, but is a straight run out to The new inn before looping back to Beaminster, with some equally stunning Dorset countryside to view as you run, there are just a few pesky little hills, on the route back. The organisers are trying to create local good fun but inclusive running events so if you are new to running or you want to run with children as always 14’s and under run for free. This route will test you, it's up and down, with flat bits for respite, sometimes hills just get in the way - you can't run flat all the time!
