About this event

This is perfect if you love to run with a blissful sunset and at the same time be cheered on by an amazing crowd. The atmosphere is epic and this is further eclipsed by the incredible organisation of the event. Runner's of all abilities can enjoy all the amenities, the course and party atmosphere.

Bedford Running Festival is 3 days of jam-packed running and tonnes of festival fun! With official race distances of 5k, 10k and Half Marathon along with an open air cinema, comedy club, kids club, street food market, bar, main stage with live music, yoga & wellness classes, running seminars and more, this is every runner’s dream.

This flat course weaves its way around the beautiful, green Priory Country Park.

Full professional medical cover will be provided throughout the course

Logistics and schedule

Race Packs:

Participants have the option to either have their race packs posted to them, or they can collect it from Race Pack Collection before the race on race day. The pack contains your race number, timing chips and safety pins.

If you opted to collect your race pack on the day please go to the ‘Race Pack Collection’ tent located inside the event village

Open air cinema - Dumbo

Yoga & Wellness - Yoga is a great complimentary practice to anyone who likes running and in this class, we will focus on poses that will help improve flexibility, range of motion, muscular strength, alongside mindful breathing that will all help improve performance and recovery.

Recovery Zone - Pre and Post race recovery

Talks from the experts - Andy Hobdell (Olympic Marathon Coach), Andy Baddeley (Olympian & parkrun World Record holder, Katie Greenwood (Musculoskeletal expert & Injury advice), Georgia Testa (Strength & Condition expert), Anne Harnan (Nutrition expert)

One of the best spectator event's out there because you get the awesome sunset just like the runner's. Also you are welcome to the facilities in the Bedford running festival.

We are once again looking for an enthusiastic and energetic team to join us for this year's Bedford Running Festival!

There are a range of roles to choose from across the weekend; from supporting and cheering our runners at either the 5K, 10K or Half Marathon, to being part of our open-air cinema, yoga and wellbeing areas.

Parking:

Bus:

The Bus Service 4 between Bedford Town Centre and Goldington, via Wendover Drive, stops close to the entrance to Priory Park. Approx. travel time is 10 mins.

Train:

Cycling:

There are various options to park your bike securely and we advise local runners to avoid cars. Secure bike parking will be provided inside Priory Park.
