Route information
The course along a beautiful stretch of the River Thames. It is fully signed so no navigational experience is required. The course is mainly well made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section. Road shoes are suitable all year round.
This is a 7 hour event, which allows you total control over how far and fast you want to run. The minimum distance is 5k, which is part of a full lap of the 4.37miles (7k)course. It is 3 laps for a half marathon, 6 for a marathon and 7 or over for an ultra.

There is some limited free parking in streets near to the venue. Alternatively, there are plenty of public car parking spaces nearby. You can also often find much cheaper parking if you arrange parking online.

You'll receive a distance pin if you complete either a half marathon, mega half marathon, marathon, 50k or ultra in the 7-hour time limit.
Age Requirements
Ages 12 and above are welcome to participate in the event.

How many laps do I have to complete to earn my finisher's medal at the Bear & Beer Run?
You must run at least 5k to earn your finisher's medal (less than a lap).
Will there be toilets at the Bear & Beer Run?
Yes, there will be toilets available onsite.
Do I have to run for the entire 7 hours of the Bear & Beer Run?
Not at all! All runners are encouraged to do as many laps as they can but the minimum distance is 5k.
