Route Type Loop
Specifically chosen this location and time of year, The Fens is a beautiful area of countryside in Lincolnshire and an ideal opportunity to crack the 100-mile distance. Flat and fast this route is made of medium and small roads, which is perfect for each rider - whatever distance they choose.
Starting and finishing at Newark Showground, the whole area is a fine network of medium and small roads. This is a great ride if you do not like hills, as there is only one small incline.

Everything was fab and really enjoyed it, just need to sign the final lap better, we went wrong like so many others and had to make our own route up to add on the extra before getting back on route. Need to have a marshal or clearer signage, at the second loop, will try and get it right next year 👍

The loop between the 2nd and 3rd feed station was confusing, we followed the arrows but ended up doing a small loop so did it twice had to divert off the course to make up the distance. Also could you put the course info like distance to feed stations on the back of the numbers ?

Thank you, I enjoyed the event and appreciate the hard work that went into it. I have only given 3 stars for the course as for me and many others doing the long route had an issue with the additional loop. The signage directed us up the short hill from the Digby feed station where we turned left at the junction, followed the road until we came to a right hand turn which we followed, the route then intersected the finish route where we turned right. We knew something was wrong as the section was shorter than it should of been so we did the loop again in case we’d missed a turn but we ended up in the same place on the road above digby and still short on mileage. We then followed the route to the finish but had to add an additional 6 miles on by going off-route to ensure we hit the 100 mile target. I’m not sure what went wrong and I know it wasn’t just us that had issues with it. An additional suggestion would be to have a small label that could be stuck to the bars or drone with key points and the mileage for reference.

Very well organised, the route signage was brilliant. The route was as described. Food at the finish would have been good. The only food available was from a burger van. Most sportives I enter there is food available at the finish.

It was a great run. However we got confused when leaving the 2nd feed stop as everyone turned right, so did we and we saw blue / orange signs but we ended up on the medium route. To make up some miles we ended up on the A17, not a good move. But we finished and lived to tell the tale
