Speed through the Blenheim Estate in one of the UK's most picturesque running events. Great for newcomers and seasoned athletes alike, the marathon, 10K & 2K courses enjoy the stunning background of Blenheim Palace. Come and support the great work that BHF do in this spectacular setting.

BHF Blenheim Palace Half Marathon routes


The Half Marathon and 10K offer tough courses with plenty of hills thrown in, however the stunning scenery and impressive finish in front of the Palace will help get you through.

The 2K Family Fun Run is a chance to get the whole family involved. This scenic route takes you around the take to the finish line in front of the Palace. All Half Marathon and 10K runners get automatic entry into the 2K run.


The route is on tarmac and ideal for participants in wheelchairs. Please contact us in advance to arrange easy access to the start line.

There will be marshals, first aiders and support along the routes.


The official course cut-off time is at 14:00 for all runners to reach the finish line

Given the high number of people attending this event, please ensure you give yourself plenty of time to travel and aim to arrive at least 45 minutes before your scheduled race time.

Kit List

It would be great to see as many athletes in a BHF t-shirt. Everyone pushes each other on, especially when they see someone wearing the colour red.


Those wishing to come along and support must purchase spectators tickets - more information will be released regarding these tickets in May 2020.

Dogs are not permitted on the route itself, but are more than welcome to accompany spectators.


Volunteers are crucial in making events the great spectacles they are and creating a friendly atmosphere across the course. Details of what volunteering may involved can be found below.

Whether you have hours or days to give, we have a role for you:

  • Handing out medals
  • Being part of a cheer squad
  • Route marshalling
  • Handing out essential refreshments
  • Important on the day administration
  • Pre-event promotion.

Is there an age limit?
Age limits align with UK athletics. Half marathon runners must be aged 17+, 10KM runners must be 16+ and all under 18s must be accompanied by an adult throughout.
