This is a beautiful and popular 30 or 50 mile circular bike ride starting and finishing in the same location at Cheltenham Racecourse, on the outskirts of Cheltenham. The ride follows a route through some of the most spectacular and unspoilt Cotswold countryside, making this a really special ride for all the family.
We are pleased to confirm that our planned route for this year will remain the same as last year. This will include a climb up Ham Road, which will be closed to traffic, during the early stages of the ride.
Due to the location of our start site, a climb in the early stages of the route is inevitable, however this route ensures it is slightly further into the ride than other alternatives meaning legs will be warmer beforehand, whilst the road closure will ensure a better experience for all.
We'll also have a cheer squad lining the hill for encouragement, and people who wish to walk will be asked to keep left in order to avoid congestion for anyone who wishes to take the challenge via their pedals.
The event will be signed and marshals will be present at key points along the route. First aid support will be present. Free water and toilets will be available at the start/finish location, and there are plenty of cafes and public houses en-route. Luggage storage and changing rooms will not be available.
