  • Did the 54 Miles in 2019

Omg! What a truly spectacular course...... Completly ruined by mostly open roads and inexperienced riders creating absolute pandemonium!!!!
I really felt sorry for any car driver unfortunate enough to get stuck in the middle of this bedlam. The police and emergency services were really trying thier best in a very difficult situation.
Riders jumping lights, riding on the wrong side of the road and on the footpaths, swerving uncontrolled into each other on the slightest hill. Stopping and walking on the right hand side of the road.
As far as I could tell, no safety briefing before race and the waves made no sense. Very fit people on aero bikes starting in the same wave as fun riders.
A total lack of organisation, really needs to completly reorganised to avoid accidents and death. I witnessed several people who had hit motorists.
I would love to see the accident stats for the day.

Maybe the best & most well organised event I’ve taken part in. Will definitely be back next year. Thank you
