The race directors were amazing but course is not easy (not for beginners I would say) but I enjoyed it. The signage could've been a lot better as I got lost and ended up doing an extra mile or so and had it not been for a casual runner who directed met to the correct side, I'd have been lost even more and not made the cut off. But I will be back as the organisers have said they will be improving the signage. The free high quality photos were a nice touch too. Also, there are no toilets on the course itself, so it will be "nature's call" just be aware.

It was a really great event - the only issue was we got a little lost on the meadow loop - but it was a great race so thank you and the photos are STUNNING !

Overall had a good experience. Could have done with some more experienced marshals, as the signage and directions were sometimes confusing. Terrain is deceptively rough underfoot also so wouldn’t advise for beginners!

This was the first time this event has been put on and they did a great job. You did have to keep your eyes peeled for signs occasionally and I did go wrong a couple of times, but knew some of the course so was relatively comfortable with that. I think they will learn that for next year. Mulled wine at the end was great!

I had a really enjoyable run but unfortunately it wasn't signposted well enough in places. Myself and a lot of other people I spoke to did get a little confused. I did like it as a run and mulled wine at the end was fab!

This was my first half marathon (had to drop out of the Manchester half as I was ill and had raised loads of sponsorship so needed a replacement event) and I wouldn’t recommend it for beginners! The terrain was really tough. Thankfully I live locally so had run some of the course already but not all of it. It was muddy and rocky. The signage could have been better, I was running alone quite a bit and there was a lack of Marshall’s so I found myself wondering if I was going the right way quite a lot. Other people I spoke to did part of the course twice or went the wrong way and ended up at a dead end. Overall I enjoyed it but not a course for beginners! And could have done with some more marshals. Thanks 😊
