Course was mostly ok but two hills right at the end spoilt the fun for me

Really challenging course with much more elevation than expected... course was supposed to be 1383 feet but my Strava clocked 1936 feet.A few more signs would have helped avoid wrong turns so I was very glad I had the course on my watch as instructed. To be fair to the organisers, they reacted very quickly to feedback about points of confusion to help runners still out on course (and by the sounds of it some existing signs had been unhelpfully moved by someone).

Sunday 23rd July Devils Punchbowl Trail racesMarathonBrutal. But so greatLots of muddy hills to go up and down and some so steep I could barely walk up(Elevation gains of +/-1700feet)15 styles and 3 cattle grids to negotiateHorrible fields to run across with cows for companyTrails so narrow, you could hardly see where you were going. And a fallen tree to crawl underBut many miles of sandy gravel tracks to pick up the running onThe last hill. HorridThe organisation was superb, the Marshall’s were amazing and the aid stations were the best ever. If you get the chance to do this race, please do it. Absolutely superbLoved it!!!

Nice route. Some decent climbs (get your hill training in)! My only gripe would be the signs, there could’ve been a few more, I wasn’t the only one that got lost on 2 occasions!! I’d definitely do another with Big Feat.

A fantastic and varied course, even the short sections on road were scenic. The 'Big' events are great and organised with love and passion.
