Frequently asked questions
FAQ
Is there parking at the Birch Challenge?
Yes there is parking and it costs £6 for the day. The parking site is well managed and is secure throughout the day.
FAQ
Can I run with headphones at the Birch Challenge?
Yes you can. If you choose to do so, please be aware of your surroundings as there could be horses, small children, bikes and dogs around.
FAQ
What do I need to bring to the Birch Challenge?
All participants are asked to dress for the weather. Ground condition updates are posted on the event organizer's website the day before the event to help you plan your footwear.
FAQ
Is the Birch Challenge cupless?
Yes. It's obviously good for the environment to reduce plastic use and general waste. You won't break a world record having to stop to fill a bottle of water or carry a hydration pack, but over a marathon distance it would probably add less than a minute to your time. There will be water, isotonic drinks, tea and coffee and real Coca Cola for you, but to be clear, the organisers won't supply disposable cups for drinks. You can buy a foldable cup on the day.
