Box End Lake Triathlon routes
The swim takes place in Box End Lake. The lake is primarily used for wakeboarding, so contains lots of wakeboarding jumps. The route is a 750m clock-wise oval around the lake, between the jumps.
The bike route is one 18.3km loop on quiet, yet fast roads. The roads will not be traffic-free.
The 5.3km run loop is simply fantastic! The route is completely off-road, but is very changeable, which makes for fantastic and exciting racing. There will be two water stations. One approximately 100m from transition and the next half way around the loop. On offer will also be High 5 energy gels.

My first visit to Boxend and what an enjoyable one! A really well organised and marshalled event and I've been competing for several years now so have had plenty of experience. A fantastic setting for a triathlon with loads of friendly enthusiastic support throughout.
There was only one area that needs attention and that was at the turn around roundabout, simply another Marshall here would relieve confusion from some competitors who may or may not have revised the bike route.
Huge thanks for a fantastic race... I will return for more!!B

There was just an area on the bike run where the roundabout to turn left to Box End didn't feel it was clearly enough with the marshall standing on the middle of the roundabout. Also after there were signs but with two events on wasn't sure if I was going the right way.Did the Sprint in 2018
Enjoyed it. the waterski ramps on the swim added a bit of focus but tgis just seemed to spready people out so the bumps and bangs didn't happen. Well marshalled bike and I just loved the run across country. great run out, thanks.Did the Sprint in 2018
If water was more easily available before the race so would not need to go to main building to fill water bottle.
