Route information
This 5k has a very scenic route, starting and finishing in the ground of Brathay Hall. Runners will take a route through the surrounding woodland including Beck Pane Wood with over 10,00 bluebells on show! There will be a stretch of the 5k along the River Brathay before both river and runners flow back towards Brathay Estate and the finish line.

By Car
The event hub at Brathay Hall is located 1.2 miles from Ambleside. Brathay is easily accessible from the M6, (J36 from the South - 28 miles, J40 from the North - 29 miles) taking A591 to Ambleside and then the A593 and B5286.
By Train
Windermere train station is 5 miles from Brathay Hall. Bus and taxi services are available at Windermere station.

The ground of Brathay Hall will host the Windermere Marathon Festival of Running. This will be an excellent, family friendly event perfect for runners to enjoy after the marathon and supporters to visit during the race. There will be refreshments, activities and entertainment.
