  • Did the 100km in 2018

there was quite a queue at the bakery in Bampton with everyone wanting a cake and a stamp on their card, some people went to the Sparshop and kept the receipt instead I don't know if this was allowed but it was quicker. Soup and a roll was great in the Cross Keys pub Taunton, the stamp was on a table inside the door, nice to dry off the jacket and get warm for a while as it was a bit wet through Wiveliscombe. Wellington was busy getting ready to switch on the Christmas lights so best to get there early and not spend too long in the pub for soup. Some people assumed the finish was back at the sports centre where we started and had to be directed back to the pub at Cranbrook, always pays to read the instructions carefully. Great event, not too hilly and good crowd of friendly cyclists.

Great ride...just a shame about the weather. Met some really interesting people and had a good laugh.
