This is a looped course which begins and finishes at the Roald Dahl Plass and tracks right around this scenic bay, taking in a number of the city's key sites including: the Wales Millennium Centre, Mermaid Quay, the Pierhead Building, Senedd, Porth Teigr, and the Cardiff Bay Barrage.
Now part of the Welsh 10KM Championships this race attracts some of the UK's top athletes and is fast becoming of the most popular spring-time meets in the country.
Ideal for elite and club athletes or simply those who enjoy running this is certainly not one to be missed.

Get full directionsTravel: Cardiff Bay is easily accessible by car, foot or public transport. It’s a 20-minute walk from the city centre and is served by regular buses and trains (via Cardiff Queen Street Station).
Car: Cardiff County Hall will be providing parking on the day for Cardiff Bay Run participants.

The looped nature of the course allows supporters to see runners at the start and the finish.

Are there on-site water stations available?
There will be water stations available at the 5K mark and at the finish line.
Where will I start the race?
The colour band across the middle of your race number relates to your starting pen based on your given estimated 10K time. The white, green and red pens will start with wave 1 at 1100am and the yellow pen will start at 1110am.
Can I wear headphones?
Please avoid using headphones whilst running to limit the risk of injury to yourself and other participants. The Organiser will not be held responsible for incidents caused as a result of the use of headphones which inhibit the communication of important warnings or information from emergency services or course marshals.
Can I get a photograph of myself running the race?
There will be official event photographers situated around the course. These pictures will be available to purchase at: www.marathon-photos.com.
