Bridgwater Half Marathon, 10k & 5k Fun Run

The route for the Bridgwater Half Marathon is the same as previous years and takes you through the beautiful Somerset countryside on a mostly flat course with a couple of undulations. With official chip timing and a UKA-certified and measured course, it's the perfect opportunity to smash that PB.

The route of the 10k uses the experience of the Half Marathon and follows the same course out until the junction with Stawell Road, where it turns around and follows the same picturesque route back to Morganian’s Rugby Club through the beautiful country village of Chedzoy.

This run is open to all ages (youngsters must be accompanied by an adult). Serious runners, joggers or walkers can all enjoy this event. Families, teams, groups and singles can all enter this run and fancy dress is welcome and encouraged.

The route for the 5k starts at the Morganians Rugby Club - the runners will come out of the Rugby Club and turn left, heading along the quaint country roads towards the village of Chedzoy, where there will be a small loop to follow in the town. The route then proceeds back towards the Rugby Club and the festivities in the Runner Village.

Safety will be key and on everyone’s minds for this run, for both competitors and motorists alike. With a large number of runners taking part, there will be ample marshals and signs warning traffic of runners, which will be placed throughout the course.

Drinking water stations with cups will be sited throughout the course.

All roads are open to traffic. Motorists are asked to be cooperative and patient as any delays will be of a relatively short duration.
