British Beer Run – Windsor

Starting and finishing at the Windsor & Eton Brewery. Unlike the beer, the course is completely flat so perfect for a PB. There are numerous sections of tarmac paths, so we recommend that you wear multi-terrain trainers.Chip-timed Half Marathon, 10km, 5km trail runs taking in views of the River Thames and Windsor Castle. There’s also a 1km event (walk or run) for those who want to enjoy the beer run experience with less running (!!) and a Family Fun Run for those with young children.All participants receive medals. Runners will need a wristband for food and drinks, and there's a pay bar for beer, wine or soft drinks and delicious food on offer including pulled pork baps, salt beef bagels and nachos.For well over 300 years, Windsor Ales were famous amongst the rich and poor alike. On St. Georges Day 2010 - 79 years after the closure of Windsor’s last brewery - the Windsor & Eton Brewery opened their doors and began producing a variety of quality cask, keg and bottled beer. Guardsman (Best Bitter) was the first of over 40 cask and keg beers sold both locally and world-wide. Their latest creation - Windsor Knot - was created to commemorate 2018’s Royal Wedding; and is made from barley grown in Windsor’s Royal Farms.
