Brixham Harbour Triathlon route
Swim (1500m): The race kick-starts with a ramp entrance into the sea at Oxen Cove, Brixham, nearby the town's iconic fish market. The 1500m swim will take place in waters which are largely sheltered by the breakwater and athletes will loop around Churston and Fishcombe - two stunning coves - before making their way back to the slipway and T1.
Bike (40km): This is a 40km single lap route along a mixture of roads and country lanes. Participants will track all the way to Kingswear and back before embarking on a tour through Galmpton and the tranquil villages which surround the area. There are some formidable climbs during the route which are followed by some thrilling descents.
Run (10km): The final stage takes you through the best of Brixham and runners will speed passed its abundance of famous landmarks. Kicking off with a run around the harbour and the statue of William of Orange runners will then head out to Berry Head and its historic Napoleonic Fort, before looping back to Brixham and through the scenic Battery Gardens to finish back at Oxen Cove.
